FALL QUARTER 2001--The sisters of Tau Epsilon Mu have been busy with service, Homecoming and recruitment events this quarter.  The school year started out with the Halfway to St. Patrick's Day party at Ludlow's, an event TEM participated in to help raise money for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.  Homecoming resulted in a second place finish for TEM's Odyssey float and a third place award in the banner competition.  Activities continued during Week 8, when the sorority opened its house to alumni on Thursday, Nov. 1.  Open House is scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 3...recruitment has begun!

SPRING QUARTER 2001--This quarter has been both busy and exciting for the sisters of Tau Epsilon Mu.  The biggest news is the election of new officers.  The top five executive positions are as follows:

Congratulations to all new officers and good luck with the rest of the year.
The sisters of Tau Epsilon Mu hosted an Easter Egg hunt for the children of Otterbein faculty and staff members.  This is an annual activity that is organized by the recording secretary.  The event went smoothly, as children and TEM members alike enjoyed everything from Simon Says to the hunt for eggs and prizes.
TEM has been busy as usual with community and campus service activities.  The biggest service event of the quarter was the Great Strides Walk, an event to increase awareness and funding for cystic fibrosis.  Cystic Fibrosis is a genetic disease affecting 30,000 children and adults in the United States.  TEM members participated in the Columbus walk on May 20, and volunteered before and after the event to help set up and tear down.  If you are interested in learning more about the disease or would like to participate in a walk near your hometown, check out the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation website at www.cff.org.
Greek Week 2001 was not as successful as last year's championship, but sorority members worked hard and placed second in lip sync and the Greek Week banner competition.
