The live tapes listed below , were recorded , mixed, & produced by me Terry Hammer for the following San Francisco Bay Area radio stations : KALX ; KTIM : KSAN : KSJO : KUSF : KSFS . Some of the shows were also broadcast on other radio stations across the country.
Just so there's no confusion,These are separate recordings by me using my own mixing board,snake & splitter. I did not just use a tape recorder and record the shows from the soundboard mixed by someone else for the house sound.These are ALL SEPARATE recordings mixed by myself for radio broadcasts.They are totally separate from the house sound.completely different mixes.They were mixed using a cheap 12 channel Peavey board using headphones to mix in the loud venues direct to 2 Track tape.
Although the original recording dates are listed , only the shows recorded at the Old Waldorf in San Francisco , and the Keystone Berkeley , Pauley Ballroom , Zellerbach Auditorium , and Lower Sproul Plaza (renamed Biko Plaza) ,U.C. Berkeley , were actually simulcast (broadcast the same time as taping) . The shows from the other venues were taped and broadcast at a later date .
The bands and dates listed below are shows that I have on tape or remember taping and broadcasting on the above mentioned San Francisco Bay Area radio stations .For you diehard fans, I have posted all of the shows that I still had tapes of on youtube for you to enjoy for free.If it's not on youtube,then,I do not have it,as a lot of tapes were destroyed in a warehouse fire and I did not have a back-up copy.I no longer make CD-R's for people because it is too time consuming.
In July 2021 I made a deal with Liberation Hall Records to purchase my complete live archive and they will be releasing the shows that they can get clearances from the bands.They are releasing 5 live shows starting September 30,2022 with 4 more to follow in October and a live album of Romeo Void later in 2023.
