PADI Advanced Open Water (AOW)
Provides the Open Water Diver with a structured, supervised means to gain additional training and experience. The Advanced Open Water (AOW) course consists of 5 open water dives: 2 are "core" dives and 3 elective dives. In each dive, the instructor elaborates on the dive topic , after which the students participate in a structured training dive that includes specific objectives and related tasks. The Core dives are Deep Dive and Underwater Navigation. Elective dive examples are; Boat Dive, Search & Recovery, Drift, Wreck, Night etc.. Upon completion of the AOW course the diver receives a certification card denoting Advanced Open Water Diver certification, which allows divers to participate in more advanced diving activities with a maximum recommended depth limit of 100 feet.

PADI Specialty Diver Courses.
PADI specialty diver courses familiarize divers with the skills, knowledge, planning, organization, procedures, techniques, problems, and hazards associated with various special interest areas in diving. Upon successfully completing the Specialty course the diver receives a certification card denoting the appropriate specialty training

PADI Medic First Aid
PADI Medic 1st aid is a basic training course that covers CPR and emergency care. It is a medically based course covering primary care, secondary care and treatments following national consensus guidelines . It is for students of any age, divers or NON-divers alike, seeking CPR/First aid training to meet a diving course requirement or for personal enhancement.It also meets the U.S. Coast Guard CPR/First Aid requirement for Captain's license

PADI Rescue Diver

The PADI Rescue Diver course develops the knowledge and skills for individuals to effectively perform diver assists and rescues, manage diving accident situations and render fist aid. The course is an important first step in expanding a diver’s knowledge and experience.

Master Scuba Diver
The Master Scuba Diver rating denotes the highest recreational diver rating in the PADI program, and denotes superior achievement and proficiency. To obtain Master rating a diver must have AOW & Rescue certification and certification in 5 PADI Specialties.

DiveMaster
PADI Divemaster training is the first leadership level in the PADI system. A divemaster learns: Demonstration quality dive skills. Thorough knowledge of dive theory. Significant training in how to assist an instructor during training activities

Technical Courses:
Long Island Scuba also offers technical dive courses from
TDI, Technical Divers International.
TDI Courses include;
* TDI Nitrox . (Up to 40% O2)
* Advanced Nitrox (Up to 100% O2)
* Decompression Procedures.
