6.16.00 - This is Meadow...and I'm also jumping on the bandwagon...g'head...ask me anything!!!

I will answer every question, but I have alot about me in my profile!!! But if you really want to...go ahead!

Some stuff about me:
I'm 28, live in Phoenix, and Swillpig is my boyfriend.

I am a Solitary Witch that loves to read, especially about Wicca, Paganism and women's history. I decided on this path about 10 years ago, after high school.

I have brown hair, blue eyes, I'm 5'1" and too chubby for my height. I have one sister, who has two beautiful kids, boy and girl. They are the light of my life, and I wish I lived alot closer them.

I grew up in San Francisco Bay Area, east and a little north. But I was born in Illinois, and have lived in a few states, and seen most of them.

So if you are still curious...go ahead, I dare you!!!!!! =)

heyteach on 6.16.00 - What do you do for work? Are you happy and fulfilled with that line of work or thinking of doing something else?

I work for a place right now that I don't enjoy to much. I work in acct's rec'ble for a place that sells and sharpens saw blades and router bits. I want to own my own Pagan/Wiccan bookstore some day. I also want to go to school. I don't make any money, and plan on leaving the minute I can!!!!!

LLDY on 6.16.00 - What made you choose Wicca? Can you describe for us how you would set up your bookstore? All Wiccan? All books? What is one of your favourite books about Wicca? (My daughter is also a believer in Wicca and she works in a bookstore. I just wonder if you have any suggestions for books that she hasn't heard of or read.)

I won't say that I chose Wicca, I believe it chose me!!! I feel that I was meant to find Her. I was always into faeries, myths and legends. I'm a little psychic, so I would feel things, and hear things.

My bookstore is going to be very Wicca based, with a definite feminist slant. This store won't be for the "touchy feely" non-serious New Age-y type people. I plan on going after a very specific market, and will also have candles, incense, herbs, cauldrons, altar items, Tarot cards and other divination tools. Also Goddess art, made by women. I won't exclude men, but I want a nice comfy place that women can be around each other, in a non-threatening way.

I have a million books to suggest...so I'll ceremail you LLDY!!!!!

prncss on 6.17.00 - Hi Meadow! I've never been to San Francisco, but I hear that it is beautiful, a great city. Can you tell me more about it? Also, being from California, have you ever experienced an earthquake or mudslide?

Okay...yes. Prncss~ SF is great, and I've been through the big Loma Prieta quake, which was during Game 7 of the World Series between the A's and the Giants. Scared the sh*t out of me honestly! And alot of little ones, some felt and some not! I never experienced a mudslide first hand, but they happened every winter, without fail. Especially during El Nino! SF is very open and the people that are there, they are unlike any other part of the country I've ever lived in, or visited. I miss alot about it, but not the weather or traffic, that's for sure. The music scene is great, but I really didn't get that into and take advantage of this fact.

Swords on 6.17.00 - What the hell do you see in Swillpig anyway? Is he really such a great guy? You gush and gush about him, but if someone were to meet him for the first time, would they really like him or get the impression he's a real jerk? :-)

And Swords, you know as well as I do, that Swillpig is the bestest guy on the face of this planet. Of course I gush about him, he loves me for all the weirdness that is me. We get along better than anyone else I've ever dated, so that's a good sign to me. I wasn't sure what he would really be like in real life, but he was all that he said. And more.

Swillpig on 6.17.00 - Do you like Chub? Do you live for Chub? Do you like to squish Chub? Does it make you weak? Do you need Chub in your life for all-time? Is Chub the centre of the Universe? Does Chub make your world go 'round? Am I the epidomy of Chub? Am I YOUR Chub?

And dear Chub , you know I live for the CHUB!!!! It is my sole reason for existence. It encompasses all that is you, CHUB!!!! HEH HEH, and thanks for letting everyone in on our freaky weird secrets, ya DORK!!!!

Seedy69 on 6.20.00 - It seems that witchiness and alternative beliefs often go hand in hand with women who like to study women's history and to celebrate womanness in general. What are your thoughts on why this is?

I feel that it's very empowering for a woman to have a woman Deity to "look up to". But I have always been raised to have my own way of thinking. I was never made to be Christian by my family, so it wasn't a big leap for me. My mom stayed home with us while my younger sister and I grew up. But she wasn't the type of woman to just do everything for my father. He worked, but he didn't take advantage of my mother. They have been married for over 30 years, and still can act like newlyweds. I learned by an excellent example from both of them.

I've always been interested in Women's History and things. I was reading encyclopedias at 4, and my favorite thing was to read about women like Eleanor Roosevelt and Joan of Arc etc. But I don't exclude men, and I don't hate them either. I feel that gender should strive for mutual respect and equality. Respect goes a long way.
