We hear the weather reporters warning: “The pollen count is very high today; allergy sufferers 
should stay indoors if possible.”  What does this mean?  What is pollen?  What is a pollen count? What factors affect the amount of pollen in the air? 

Pollen Counts is an unique and compelling Internet-based science and mathematics project which uses real time data to help students investigate and answer these questions.  The students will create a hypothesis about what weather conditions/variables affect the amount pollen in the air. The students will collect weather and pollen data from real time internet sites, analyze it, display it and draw conclusions from their investigations.

Pollen Counts es un proyecto interactivo, único y llamativo, de Ciencias y Matemáticas que usa datos de tiempo real para ayudar a los estudiantes a investigar y contestar estas preguntas.  Los estudiantes crearán una hipótesis sobre cuáles condiciones o variables climatológicas afectan la cantidad de polen en el aire.  Los estudiantes recogerán datos sobre el tiempo atmosférico y el polen de sitios del internet con información de tiempo real, la analizarán, la tabularán y sacarán conclusiones de sus investigaciones.
