Competition:

The club count went down a considerable amount and the Qualifying rounds which were played like stages rather than rounds became more like rounds.
The clubs qualified through the competition they played in last year. Any club which made the last eight in the cup and didn't qualify to the next year's competition got accepted because of their success last year.
