About Me

I am a Scientist working at National Institute of Hydrology (A Government of India Society under Ministry of Water Resources), Roorkee - 247667 (Uttarakhand), INDIA.

My research areas of interest are assessment of groundwater potential; saline water intrusion in coastal aquifers; numerical modelling of unsaturated flow, groundwater flow and contaminant transport; and management of aquifer recharge.

Abroad Visits : Denmark and Australia

My zodiac sign is Virgo : 8th September (i.e. a perfectionist but shy in nature).

My Educational Qualifications : B.Sc.Engg.(Civil) from A.M.U. and M.E.(Hydraulic Engineering) from University of Roorkee (now IIT-Roorkee).

My general interests include reading, spirituality and web-browsing. My all-time favorite movies are Guide, Anand, Akhiyon Ke Jharokhon Se, Himalaya Se Uncha, Jewel Thief, Arzoo, Jhuk Gaya Aasmaan, Pyar Kiye Ja, Dil Ek Mandir and Hum Apke Hain Kaun. My favorite song is "Sansaar ki har shay ka itana hi fasaana hai..." (Hindi Film: Dhund, 1973).

My Favorite Books are The Gospel of Sri Ramakrishna, Karma-Yoga (Swami Vivekananda), The Seven Spiritual Laws to Success (Deepak Chopra), Yogini - Unfolding the Goddess Within (Shambhavi Lorain Chopra), The Secret (Rhonda Byrne).
