June 27, 2001

Well, as many Myst fans have now heard, an opportunity of a lifetime has presented itself recently and I am pleased to announce that my application and tenure as D'ni Field Research Assistant has been accepted here at Dniguild. Working closely with the entire Dniguild team and the well respected Dr. Richard Watson (famed D'ni Historian ), I expect my research and explorations will continue to excite fans from around the globe.

Recently, my underground journeys have begun and I have been pleasantly surprised with the state of the site. It’s remarkable really the amount of artifacts, and the excellent condition of many of them, that are being unearthed on a consistent basis. My work will not be easy, in fact I expect it could take many months, maybe years. But I am excited as recent discoveries and unturned rock has given me a glimpse of what to expect.

So what can you expect from my contribution to Dniguild? My goal will be to share with you all that can be told about the great city and about the rich history that unfolds in front of us. I will present research material for review and study the intricacies of the language and symbolism.

Some are wondering if FutureContact.com will tie to DniGuild. It may... but my research here will be more D'ni focused and will bring to light (a very bright light ) all that we know exists. Books are being written and I expect this next few months will be an exciting ride. Be sure and pack accordingly. A soft shoe doesn't last long on the trip we are about to take.

I must go, but I will send you journal entries (JE) and field research documents ( FRD ) over the coming weeks.

Remember - D'ni Lives!

Watch for future updates as I begin a journey, a journey of exploration and discovery.

Yours in D'ni,

Gordon Currie
