As you can see from this list, Stefan Avalos and Lance Weiler directed, wrote, stared in, produced, made the music, did the cinematography and edited "The Last Broadcast". Due to this the budget was kept down to a very low $900 and so the film was almost certain to make a profit. Costs were also kept down by not having a distributor for the film. It was distributed by sending it digitally from a satellite to the theatre and it was there downloaded and shown digitally using special software and equipment. "The Last Broadcast" was the first film to do this. The film was most successful at festivals and won the silver for Best Movie at the Chicago Film Festival in 1998.
