Just a while ago, I went to the Page of DooM { www.podoom.cjb.net } Great site, and found a section called "2600 DooM". There, I found out about someone who made a very elaberate hoax, and it looked so real, it inspired me to actually test the skills of the Atari.
Note I went through info on the Atari-2600, and realised it is just barely good ebough to run a game such as DooM. Maybe not as good graphics, and no where near, but it can make a resemblence to DooM. Note again, It will for fact work, becuase there is a game called "Battle Zone", and its in fully 3-D, you see the gun like in DooM, you can move in all directions, and there are enemy sprites, and the game runs smooth. Here are screenies of the "Hoax", and bottom are the screenies I really considered from the hoax, and went to work on. So far so good, but note that you can only have three moving enemies/sprites at once.

And below, the screenies I made to resemble the fakes.

*Note the image is split, and each signed "1P" and "2P". That was the split screen two player mode that I considered, but probably wont make it due to lag, and programming over 2-bit, which would fit onto an Atari cartridge. This will probably be out soon, today I wrote out the full line of code for the game. It's Atari man, not to hard to do :)

This is what the cartridge will look like, hence this is the "hoax" picture.

News today, Oct.31. The good news; I finished the sprites {not to hard to do}, the bad news, I wont be able to do this alone I dont think. I might, but it will be hard!! Any way, I decided to upload the sprites for your viewing pleasure:
