Alien Nation

The Newcomers Are Here

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
[opening shot - a giant saucer-shaped ship landing in California]
"That was the scene in California's Mojave Desert five years ago - our historic first view of the Newcomers' ship. Theirs was a slave ship, carrying a quarter million beings bred to adapt and labour in any environment. But they'd washed ashore on Earth, with no way to get back to where they came from. And in the last five years, the Newcomers have become the latest addition to the population of Los Angeles... "
"Strangers in a strange land,
the alien "Newcomers" of Alien Nation try to assimilate into the world of future Los Angeles.
Facing the petty prejudices and intolerance experienced by any group of immigrants,
the Newcomers struggle to carve out a niche for themselves in this,
their new home."
Gary Graham stars in this TV-series and spin-off movies as Detective Sikes. He also played one of the robojox, Achilles, in the 1988 movie Robot Jox (released in 1990), Capt. Ken Hetrick in the MANTIS (1994) TV-series, and Vulcan Ambassador Soval in the Star Trek "Enterprise" TV-series.
