"Survivor Review" is a private fan site and is no way affiliated with CBS or Mark Burnett Productions.  Many of the pictures and graphics are taken from the official CBS "Survivor: Pearl islands" website, as well as other sites, such as "CBS Early Show".  This site's intent is not to infringe on any copyrighted or trademarked material, only to review and speculate on a TV series which has captured our imaginations.

Night 27, and our gang of goofs return from Tribal Council.  Christa and
Sandra are mad at Burton and Jon for betraying Rupert.  No kidding!  Tem-
pers fly between Sandra and Jon.  Nothing new there.  What is new is that
Burton notices that the fish are missing.  The fish that our hero, Rupert,
worked hard for to feed all their lazy bellies.  Burton and Jon immediately
accuse Christa, for she was gone for a short while putting her canteen away.
They suspected Sandra, who actually arrived at camp first, but given she
was busy arguing with Jon, Christa seems to have had more opportunity.
In reality, it was Sandra, but she keeps mum about it.  She doesn't even tell
Christa, who tries to defend herself and feels bad about being blamed.
Frankly, if I were either of them, I would have spoken up, even if I didn't do
it, just to make a point about loyalty and honor.  The others did not earn the
fish and had no claim on them.  Tough luck, ya bunch of bums!

Day 28 and it's time for Reward Challenge.  The game is "Walk the Plank",
but not for the contestants.  Instead, their loved ones will do the walking.
All are reunited with family and friends.  Jon's buddy, "Thunder Dan", tells
Jon that his grandmother has died.  Jeff notices Jon's expression change.
Jon tells all what happened.  In sympathy, except for Sandra, the others
throw the event in Jon's favor so he can learn more details.  As a result,
Dan gets to hang out with Jon at camp for the rest of the day and night,
while the others are taken to another beach, equipped with only a machete
and some matches.

The others arrive at their new beach.  They have no food, water, or shelter.
They are depressed.  Burton and Lil feel worse about not being with Jon in
his hour of grief.  Suckers!  Jon and Dan whoop it up back at Camp Balboa.
It turns out that the whole story is a scam.  Jon's grandma is safe at home
watching Jerry Springer.  They arranged the lie before Jon left America.  I
never liked Jon before, but now I real despise him.  This guy is a real piece
of work.  He needs to be beaten to a pulp, preferably by Rupert.  Maybe even
Burton will lend a few fists once he learns of this.   Jon-E-Fair-Play is the
biggest jerk who has ever been on "Survivor".

Day 29 and Dan leaves when the others return.  Jon keeps up his deception.
The big event of this day is Sandra working Tijuana.  She tries to convince
T that her alliance with Burton, Jon, and Lil is misplaced.  The pay-off comes
that night when Burton and Jon sneak off into the jungle.  Sandra wakes up
Tijuana and they follow them.  The girls overhear Jon and Burton brag about
their strategy and deceptions.  Tijuana is now convinced and tells Darrah
the whole story.  They decide to team up with Sandra and Christa to boot
either Burton or Jon.

Day 30 and it's the Immunity Challenge.  Each contestant must try to make
20 words of varying lengths out of the letters from the show's title, "Survivor
Pearl Islands".  Certain types of words are forbidden and spelling must be
correct.  When a player thinks he or she has it completed, all must stop and
face away from their word-boards while Jeff checks the results.  If there are
any errors, that player is disqualified.  This event looks like a good one for
someone other than Burton to win.  Christa, Tijuana, and Jon all get disqual-
ified when Jeff finds errors.  Burton is next and Jeff declares him the winner.
As they march off, Jeff calls them back.  Burton misspelled a word.  Since
everyone has seen each other's word-boards, Jeff will provide a new set of
letters for the remainder (Sandra, Lil, and Darrah) to use to make as many
words as possible, 4-letters or more in length.  It's a timed event and the one
with the most correct words wins.  Darrah is declared the winner.

Things now look bad for Burton and Jon, especially Burton.  Tijuana and
Darrah then do a very stupid thing.  They tell Jon how they are planning to
boot Burton with Sandra and Christa.  If Jon wants to survive, he'd better
go along with the new program.  Nonsense!  Jon runs to Sandra and Christa
and cuts a new deal with them.  With Burton, they will now be the Final Four
and Tijuana will be booted instead.  Sandra and Christa now do a stupid
thing and go along.  At the very least, she should have insisted in booting
Lil to cover all bases.

Tribal Council has Jeff asking his usual series of questions.  They are too
inane to repeat.  Then he asks Jon about being able to lie and deceive any-
one to win.  Jeff must know about Jon's lie about his grandma.  Jon looks
scared as he answers that he would have done just that until the other day
when he got the news.  Jon continues to lie.  Jeff doesn't spill the beans, but
looks rather disgusted.  Darrah and Tijuana vote to boot Burton, the rest
gang up on Tijuana and she is voted off.

SPOILERS:  Lil confronts Burton about being ditched from the Finals, while
Sandra works on Darrah to boot the boys.  A little late for that my dear!
