England

The purpose of my trip to London in April 2009, was to attend a women's conference hosted by Hillsong Church. While this short, five day trip to London was mostly spent attending the conference, I managed to get several good photos of some of the most famous London landmarks.

Big Ben
Parliament Buildings
The London Eye

The famous Big Ben, also called Great Bell. Fun Facts: Big Ben is the third tallest free-standing clock tower in the world. It also celebrated 150 years in May 2009.

The Parliament Buildings (which the previously mentioned Big Ben is a part of). The Thames River flows right past, making them a beautiful sight.

The London Eye. A half hour ride cycles you around a full 360 degrees, giving you a birdseye view of the entire city of London, including the parliament buildings, Big Ben and Westminster Abbey.

Telephone Booth
Buckingham Palace
The Underground

A shot of the classic London telephone booth. Seeing me snap this photo must have been comical to the locals, as these things are on nearly every street corner in the big city.

Buckingham Palace, the place where Queen Elizabeth herself ocassionally resides. While we didn't catch any glimpses of royalty, we were able to see the guards do their specialized march.

A sign indicating the Underground. Best and most efficient way for tourists to travel.

Hyde Park
The Royal Albert Hall
Big Ben and Myself

Beautiful Hyde Park in the heart of London. A lush park with many paths for walking, running or biking. A place where dogs can run free. In fact, the book and famous Disney movie, 101 Dalmation is set partially in Hyde Park.

The Royal Albert Hall. Beautiful inside and out. Dedicated in honour of Prince Albert, Queen Victoria's husband.

A photo of Big Ben and me. The photo you just have to get when you go to London!
