Damon is more in tune with his vampirism than Stefan. He has embraced more of his wild nature, and in turn almost seems to feel more than his younger brother. He doesn't mind biting someone's neck that he doesn't know, but in turn he has a few more morals and scruples than his older brother. He is charming and seductive, but not so overly so that he goes to any particular length he could go to win someone over. Until, that is, that he met Isabella.
He was turned into a vampire by the same person that turned Stefan, and he embraces it when in turn Stefan tried to flee from it. He wants to show Isabella what it is like to be in love, with or without Stefan's permission. But then there is Gregori to handle.
Dominic had been on his own for years, until he was drawn to Crescent Harbor. For reasons unknown to him, he deliciously decided, through more of a seduction thrall of temptation that he has no motivation to leave the small coastal town.
He will not let anyone hurt Stefan, because he has his own reasons. He always assumed that he would be the one to destroy his brother. And he would never let anyone hurt Isabella. That is completely out of the question. Not willing to admit to it, but he would risk his own life for her safety and protection. But who, in turn, would be able to save her from his charm and demeanor?
