"Let's go back to my house for pizza and movies." Tamara said. Every week we all get together on Saturday and have pizza and a movie at someone's house.
"What should we watch?"I asked.
"Let's have a scare fest. Scream 3 just came out on video and since none of us saw it, we can rent it." Chris said.
The guys went and got the room set up and ordered the pizzas while us girls went to get the movies.
"Do you girls want to sleep over at my house tonight? Our parents are all at that spa place, so you'd be home alone with the exception of your siblings." Tamara asked.
"Well. Our siblings are at Staci's little brother's birthday party, so we're in" we all said.
We checked out the movies and drove back to Tamara's house. The pizza had arrived, so we all settled down in the family room and watched Scream 1, 2, and 3.
By the time we were done with the 3rd movie, we were all exhausted. The guys went next door to Chris's house while us girls crashed in the basement.
The next morning I was woken up by the sound of Britney Spears blasting in the room.
"Alison! Turn that down!" I yelled without having to look to see who had put it on.
"Sorry. We just wanted to get you guys up." Jessica said."It's already noon and the guys have been calling for two hours for us to get up. They said that if we didn't get up, they'd come over here and do something we'd never forget. I don't wanna know what that had in mind!"
"Okay. Oh shit! Our parents are coming home today, aren't they?!"I asked.
"Yeah. Why?"Lindsay asked.
"I promised my mom I'd clean up my room while they were gone. I can just imagine my mom coming home! "Laura Carroll Alin! You clean up your room right now young lady!" Lol. Anywayz, I better get dressed. Anyone wanna come over and help me navigate through the hell hole?" I laughed.
"Sure. Kate and I will come. We know how huge your room is, and we're not doing anything so we might as well help out!" Jen volunteered.
"Yeah. Brittany, Tamara, Lindsay, and I will help too."Alison said.
"Let's make it a party. If we all go we can get it done in about half an hour, and then we can do something for the rest of the day."Jessica said.
We got dressed, ate breakfast, and drove to my house that was in the "posh" neighborhood as my friends called it. Lindsay, Jessica, and I lived in the posh neighborhood while all the other girls lived in the art deco area.
We drove up my long driveway and everyone hopped out as I drove my car into the garage. I opened the door, and we ran up the main staircase. If you guys have ever seen Clueless, my house looks exactly like it. Right from the pool down to the study.
We walked into my room and started cleaning. By the time we were done, we could actually see the floor.
"Woah! I love your carpet. This is the first time I've actually seen it!" Tamara laughed.
"So...what do you guys wanna do today? It's about 95 degrees, do you wanna go swimming?" I asked.
"We don't have our bathing suits with us though." everyone complained.
"Don't worry. You can wear my suits. I have plenty!" I said as I pointed at my 15 assorted suits.
"But Laura. You're so much taller than us!" Upeshka laughed.
"Duh! You "height challenged" people can borrow my old suits."
No. I wasn't really making fun of shorter people. It's just that I'm a lot taller than most of my friends. The tallest person, with the exception of Jessica, Tamara, and me, was 5'7. I was 6 ft.
We got our suits on and I called the guys to come over and join us. We went outside and everyone except me got in the water. I needed to work on my tan, so I lay down on my stomach and popped my NSYNC cd in my player.
I must have fallen asleep, because the next thing I remembered were two strong hands giving me a soothing massage.
"You know. I'm really glad you took those massage classes at the health club last year Matt!" I said as I turned on my stomach.
"Well. You know I'd do anything for you when you wear that thong thong thong thong thong."He sang.
"You're hopeless!" I said as I ran into the pool laughing.
He ran in after me and started chasing me. We had always flirted with eachother, but we knew we'd rather stay as friends. He was the type of guy who you could tell your deepest secrets to, and you'd know for certain he'd never tell anyone. We had been best friends since 1st grade, and we knew everything about eachother. He was the one I ran to when I got sick of my parents always being gone. I had spent more time at his house, than at any of my other friends' houses.
He finally cought me and tickled me until I yelled truce.
"You guys. it's 5:30. Our parents should be home soon, and our siblings are gonna be dropped off in an hour."Peter said.
"We better go Laura! Let's all go to the mall tomorrow cuz it's supposed to rain. I'll call you all for the time tomorrow."Lindsay said.
"K. Buh bye everyone" I said as everyone walked to their cars.
I walked into my house and sighed."I hope my parents don't decide to stay longer like they did last time"I said to myself.
