I was sitting in my room talking to Alison, Pheobe, and Lindsay on conference call.
"Laura? Where are you sweety?"
"Guys. I gotta go. My parents are actually here! I'll call you in a little while."
"Coming mom!"I ran downstairs and hugged my mom and dad.
"How was your trip? Was the spa relaxing?"
"The spa was fabulous sweety! Your father desperately needed relaxation and the trip was perfect for him. Everyone else had fun too."
"Kewl mom. Anywayz, I'd better go call Lindsay back."I turned around and walked up the stairs.
"Wait. We saw an old college friend of ours at the spa, and they're coming to Maryland for two weeks, so we invited them to stay with us. They're coming tomorrow. They're bringing their son who's a little older than you, so be nice!"my mom said.
"Yes mother. What are their names?"
"Jack and Nancy Bass. Their son's name is Lance."
"Okay. See you at dinner."
"Hey Lindsay."I said as I called her again.
"Hey Laura. We're going to the mall tomorrow at 12."
"Oh darn! my parent's friends are coming tomorrow with their son who's a little older than us. Hope he's not a major drag!"
"Don't worry. You can bring him. If he's a drag you can always ditch him with the guys and us girls can shop.
"Yeah. I guess. Anywayz, wanna sleep over tonight? I can't believe it's finally summer! Next year we'll all be juniors at University of Maryland."
"Hold on. Lemme check with my parents. Yup, it's fine. I'll be over in about 15 minutes. Want me to bring anything?"
"Bring any of your movies. We all know you have the best collection. Oh yeah...bring your Christina Aguilera cd. Tamara is borrowing mine and I need it to make a recording of it for my demo tape."
"Sure. I really wanna hear your tape before you send it, cuz I wanna know what to listen for when your songs are played on the radio."
"I'm glad someone has faith in me! Anywayz, hurry over! I'll hang up so you can get your stuff together."
"K. Later chic."
*ring ring*
"Hello?"
"Hi. Is Laura there?"
"Hi. That's me. How can I help you?"
"Hey. This is Lance. Your parents are friends with my parents and they were coming up tomorrow to spend two weeks with you."
"Yeah. That's what I heard."
"Well, I was wondering if you wanted to come down to Florida for two weeks, because I can't go with my parents, but they suggested you come here. You can bring as many friends as you want. Just don't bring over ten."he laughed.
"Sure. I'll have to check with my parents first. I luv Florida! Just wondering, but do you live near the beach?"
"Actually, my house is right on the beach."
"Kewl. Hold on. Lemme check with my parents!"
"Mom? Dad?"
"Yes sweetie?" My dad answered.
"It's Lance on the phone. The son of your college friends. He wanted to know whether me and a couple of friends could come visit hime while his parents are here, because he can't come up with them. He lives in his own house right off the beach."
"Sure you can go! Who do you wanna take? I'll go get the tickets."
"Hmm...buy 5 tickets so I can bring 4 friends."
I walked back up to the phone.
"Lance? My parents said it was fine. Is it okay if I bring 4 friends?"
"Yup. Thats fine. Call me later to tell me when to pick you up from the airport."
"Kay. See you tomorrow!" I said as I hung up.
"Who are you gonna see tomorrow?"Lindsay asked as she walked into my room.
"How would you like to go to Florida with me and a couple other girls tomorrow?"
"I'd love to! You know I love Florida!"
"Good. Lance invited us down there because he couldn't come with his parents."
"Kewl! How are we getting there? Who else is coming?"
"My dad's buying us plane tickets, and i was thinking of having Alison, Jessica, and Brittany come too."
"Well then call them up!"
I called everyone and they all could come. My dad said he would drive us to the airport the following day.
"Well. Which movie do you want to watch first?"
"What did you bring?"I asked.
"Ten Things I Hate About You, She's All That, Virgin Suicides, and Skulls."
"Let's watch Skulls, Virgin Suicides, 10 Things I hate About You, and She's All That in that order."
"Okay. When I came up your parents said they had ordered a pizza for us and they'll bring it upstairs when it comes."
"Kewl. When are you going to pack? You have to help me pack later."
"Probably tomorrow. You can drive me over to my house tomorrow since I didn't drive here."
"Okay. Let's pack until the pizza comes."
"K."
We walked over to my walk-in closet.
"Laura. Just wondering, but how many articles of clothing do you have?"
"Hold on. Lemme check." I turned on my computer, and opened the clothing directory. It was the same program Alicia Silverstone had in Clueless. it had become really popular since the movie, and a lot of people had it.
"I have 854."
"Woah! Why such a need for so much? We all know you love shopping and we love borrowing clothing from you, but geesh girl!"
I just laughed as we started looking through my clothes. When we had gotten everything we wanted, my bed was non-existant because there were clothes all over it.
"This should be enough" Lindsay said.
"Yup. Let's see what we have."
We went through everything before we put it into suitcases. I ended up with 10 spagett-strapped tank tops, 3 tube tops, 7 pairs of shorts, 3 pairs of flare jeans, various clothes for clubs and parties, 12 bathing suits, plus all my shoes, socks, and accessories. I had stuffed 3 suitcases all together.
"Guys. Pizza is here!" My mom said as she brought it into my room.
"Thanx mom! See ya in the morning."I gave her a hug and kiss and she left.
We watched movies until around 2, and went straight to sleep.
