A Miracle From Santa!
by Hayley F.
One hazy December day a little girl named Judy was woken up
by the sounds of bells and laughter. Her family was getting ready for
Christmas once again. Judy was a cheerful, intelligent little lady. Every
year for Christmas she asked for the same old boring stuff! (A Dictionary,
Encyclopedia, or a Book) However, this year she wanted something more
because she had been extra good all year! She wanted snow! She lived in
Florida so it was an impossible request that would take a miracle. Judy got
dressed and went downstairs to the living room. She saw the sight of the
biggest most glorious tree she had ever seen and gasped. Her heart was
filled with a million smiles.
“So, do you like the tree?” mom muttered.
“Yes”, said Judy with a 100 percent smile on her face. Judy told her
mom of the special gift she wanted and her mother laughed.
Mom said, “ It will take a miracle, but miracles sometimes happen on
Christmas Eve.”
Judy yelped with excitement! It was
7:00 A.M. and Judy was opening
new and exciting gifts. She got a baby doll, her very own make-up, and lots
and lots of other wonderful things.
It was time for bed and as soon as Judy layed her head down on her
silk pillow she heard a thump, thump, thump! She saw Santa Claus jumping
out of the chimney, but apparently he didn’t hear her. She swung over the
window, and landed right in Santa’s sleigh. Before she could get out, they
were off and moving. Judy could not let Santa know she was in his sleigh.
She knew if Santa found out she would be on the naughty list for life, but
she had to tell him about her special request.
“SANTA”, called out a voice in the back of the sleigh.
Judy was spilling out words, “Woe ho ho
Santa slow down!”
Santa was so surprised to see one of his
best kids in the back of his sleigh.
“What are you doing in the back of
the sleigh?” Santa asked.
“I had to tell you about the very
special gift I wanted”
“What’s that?” asked Santa.
“SNOW!” yelled Judy.
“Snow! Well, that’s clearly
impossible here in Florida.”
Judy sighed.
“Well, lets take you back home.”
Judy nodded with a tear coming
down her cheek.
Santa kissed Judy good night
and said, “Have a happy Christmas.”
The next morning Judy slowly went down the stairs.
She had a pile of gifts, bigger and taller than
Mount Rushmore.
“Let it snow, let it snow!” people were singing out
in front of her door. Judy went outside to see what was happening. Judy
screamed, “Snow!” Snow was truly falling from the sky. The sky looked
like it was a white blanket. It looked as if the snow would never stop.
Judy ran back inside and saw a note on the door.
Dear Judy,
I thought about how good you were and how your heart
deserved this special
gift.
Santa
“A miracle from Santa” said Judy, with a 1,000 percent smile on
her face!
