• FROM I-495
    Take Route 495 to exit 2 (Rte. 58). Go north 2.5 miles toward Carver past cranberry bogs to where Rte. 58 makes a 90° left turn - but you continue straight on Tremont Street for 0.8 miles.
    (Look for brown Myles Standish State Forest sign on right.) Turn right on Cranberry Road.
    Go past cranberry bogs & houses for 1.7 miles to large, wooden state forest sign on right.
    Continue 1 mile on bumpy road in forest.
    At "Bridge Closed" sign make hairpin left turn following detour signs.
    Go past ponds on left and right following detour signs onto Halfway Pond Road for almost 2 miles.
    At stop sign turn right onto Upper College Pond Road.
    Turn left onto Fearing Pond Road.
    Proceed 1.4 miles on Fearing Pond Road (past Camp Cachalot on right & campsites on left).
    At Fearing Picnic area on left, turn right onto Cutter Field Road.
    Stay on Cutter Field (narrow paved road) for about 1 mile to Camp Squanto.
    Turn left at totem pole into Visitor Parking lot.

  • FROM ROUTE 3
    Take Route 3 (at the south end is the Sagamore Bridge to Route 6 on Cape Cod --- at the north end is the "Braintree Split" joining Route 128 which circles Boston & Route 93 which goes through Boston).
    Take Exit 5 "Long Pond Road/State Forest/College Pond" which is a rest area/tourist info center:
           - if you're travelling South on Rte. 3 (toward the Cape), the exit ramp will curve to the right behind the rest area.
           - if you're travelling North on Rte. 3 (toward Boston), go left at end of ramp.
    Proceed 3.7 miles on Long Pond Road.
    Turn right into Myles Standish State Forest onto Alden Road.
    Follow rolling hills for 1.7 miles.
    Take left fork at signs for "Group Sites/Headquarters" onto Upper College Pond Road.
    Go straight 3 miles. (Ignore orange "Bridge Closed Ahead" sign & gold detour sign at Halfway Pond Road.) At end of Upper College Pond Road there's a white "Bridge Closed" sign on right.
    Turn left onto Fearing Pond Road.
    Proceed 1.4 miles on Fearing Pond Road (past Camp Cachalot on right & campsites on left).
    At Fearing Picnic area on left, turn right onto Cutter Field Road.
    Stay on Cutter Field (narrow paved road) for about 1 mile to Camp Squanto.
    Turn left at totem pole into Visitor Parking lot.
