The Biltmore Estate
May 12-15, 2005
35 acres of  Gilded Age gardening to slobber over.  Oh, there is a big house to oogle at too.  If you have the spare bucks (300 of them, to be exact) the Inn on Biltmore is the premium place to stay.  The rest of us CheapSkates will be at a Holiday Inn....
Cleveland Botanical Gardens
Spring 2005
Just opened the 'Glasshouse' in July 2003, so it's a must-see this spring. A 5+ hour drive from Louisville.  Dates pending.
Bernheim Arboretum
Spring 2005
Perhaps this can be a motorcycle trip at the same time?  Oooh, the Prez is good, isn't she!  About 35 minutes from Louis
Cheekwood Botanical Garden
Summer 2005
The old Cheek family estate; 55 acres with a Bryant Fleming design. In Nashville, Tennessee.  About a 3-4 hour trip from Louisville, so plan on an overnight stay
