fixing a hole where the rain gets in,
stops my mind from wondering,
where it will go...

and it really doesn't matter if i'm wrong,
i'm right
where i belong
i'm right...

you might call it news
ali will be attending ryerson next year. it's hard to express the pride i feel for her (a) because it i think it might sound condisending and (b) because i'd have to use words. but considering the trial by fire she's been through... i just very proud.
good job ali. ryerson is a good place to be.

considering all the talk of spiritually that's been flying around, i'd thought i'd throw my hat in.

the way i look at it, there have been instances in my life in which i've had experiances which struck me down, shattered my understanding of the universe, and built it up again all within a few seconds. for me, these are moments of experiance... be they food, landscape, a creation of humanity, a moment of love... or whatever.

my point is, the "spirit" did not reside in the event, but how the moment and i interacted, whether this was the work of god, whether it's the same god who send moses the commandments, or the god who sired hercules, or the god who creates thunder and lightning. or whether it was just me having my understanding of the universe changed by something i experienced.

the thought stream sometimes goes like this...
the sunset. why do we find it beautiful? why do we have emotions? how can we be so perfect and yet so flawed?

  • a sunset to my left, a rainbow to my right. a new best friend, and a tear.
  • the crash of waves, a beautiful woman, sitting quietly with me.
  • wandering through the uncovered city of pompeii, nearly 2000 years old.
  • stading ontop of a mountain, does it to my everytime, be it greece, canada, or britian.

there are more, but you get the idea. my point? believe in the things that make you believe. the events in your life which are spiritual, and find god or whatever in those things. believe in emotion, worship the sky and the earth, worship the creator. i will only tell you of my experiances.
