The Miniature Pinscher, or ‘Min Pin’ as it is fondly known,
is a ‘Big Dog’ in a small body. Due to their hardy, wonderful spirit and
proud nature, they are often referred to as the ‘King of Toys’.
Usually classed as the Miniature Doberman, the Min Pin
is a breed in it’s own right and is not related !
Originating in Germany, where they are known as the Reh
Pinscher, due to their resemblance to small red deer. They were bred as
the usual Vermin Terrier. Selected breeding in the late 1800’s resulted
in the Miniature Pinscher we have today.
A lively, bouncy dog, with a loving personality and ever
loyal to family members, the Min Pin makes a great pet for any age group.
However they are wary with strangers and do not go willingly to people
they don’t know. Not a ‘yappy’ dog, they still make an excellent guard
dog.
With their distinctive hackney gait, they have a tendency
to ‘show off’ both in and out of the show ring. Also a very intelligent
breed, they have been know to out perform larger breeds in the obedience
ring.
Having a very short, sleek coat the Miniature Pinscher
requires little grooming. They range in colors from Black, Red, Stag Red,
Chocolate and Blue (however the Blue is slightly less common !).

Samantha Has come home to Live at Kings Kennel . She produced a beautiful
show puppy . Kryket became an AKC & UKC
