Christmas Tradition

Snowflakes are falling gently outside
But Christmas spirit warms my soul
The Christmas tree's beautifully done
Making me forget that it's so cold.

Christmas is my Mom's favorite holiday
Christmas cookies are always in the oven
Our family comes over on Christmas Eve
Making for another great Christmas again.

Christmas lights on our front lightpole
And her Christmas village under our tree
Christmas dinner at my Grandma Brown's
Traditions holding true in my family.

I can already smell the hot chocolate
And feel the snow getting into my shoes
Christmas may only be once during the year
But traditions stay the whole year through.

Traditions run strong in my family
Nothing could ever take their place
For traditions are family foundations
And can't ever be broken or replaced.
