Sora: Age 14

Sora, the main character of "Kingdom Hearts", is one of the three bearers of the keyblade. He holds the Oath Keeper Keyblade. When a terrible storm hits his island, he his separated from his best friends, Riku and Kairi. The heartless have been chasing him ever since he became one of the keyblade-bearers.

Riku: Age 15

Riku is Sora's best friend in the game. He is the bearer of the Heart Keyblade. He is always curious about what other worlds there are other than their island. When the heartless attack their island, Riku gives his heart up to the darkness in order to save Sora and Kairi. For a short period of time, Riku is the main antagonist in the game. At the end of the game, he closes the door to Kingdom Hearts.

Kairi: Age 14

When Kairi is separated from her friends, she loses her heart to the darkness. Both Riku and Sora try to save her. Although Kairi doesn't appear much in the game, she plays a big role in it.

Goofy: Age ???

In Kingdom Hearts, Goofy is the captain of the royal knights. King Mickey orders him to accompany Donald in order to find the bearer of the Keyblade. When he and Donald find Sora, they help him in his fight against the heartless.

Donald: Age ???

Donald Duck is the court wizard and loyal servant to King Mickey. He joins Goofy on a journey to find Sora. Donald is a very experienced magician and is a great help to Sora. However, he is a bit impatient at times.

King Mickey: Age ???

King Mickey holds the third Keyblade. He is only seen at the very end of the game inside Kingdom Hearts. He and Riku join forces at the end of the game to destroy all the heartless inside Kingdom Hearts.

Heartless

The Heartless are creatures created by darkness to destroy the keyblade bearers. Wherever the keyblade bearers are, they hunt them down. They come in many forms.

Leon/Squall: Age 25

Leon, also known as Squall from Final Fantasy 8, plays a major role in Kingdom Hearts. He fights the Heartless in Traverse Town. He aids Sora in his quest to destroy the Heartless. Leon tries to restore the barriers between the worlds. He is accompanied by Aerith, who appears in Final Fantasy 7, and Yuffie.

Ansem: Age ???

Ansem is the main antagonist in the whole game. He is the creator of all the Heartless. He takes over Riku's body to destroy Sora. His desire is for all the worlds to plunge into darkness.
