    Comments: It completely blew my mind to hear the RealAudio samples of the Mr. Ed Talking Puppet! I grew up with that thing and thought I would never hear those phrases again. "Phones ringing, shall I answer it?" is forever burned into my subconscious, and it's a trip to hear it again. Thanks!

    Comments: In reference to "Fury" please look up the book by Toni Ringo Helfer entitled "The Gentle Jungle" (1980). Fury was rescued from starvation and abuse by Toni and Ralph Helfer after Ralph McCutcheon evidently had passed away. Fury fell into the hands of someone who starved and abused him and tried to trade him to the Helfer's for a stud fee. Thank goodness they took him and saved him and he lived his last years as he should have, being properly cared for and loved. As with so many animals, the owners do not see them through to the end but they are passed around from person to person, like Black Beauty. Any animal lover should read both "The Gentle Jungle" by Toni Helfer (1980) and "The Beauty of the Beasts" by Ralph Helfer (1990)- you would see how affection training paid off with the Hollywood animal stars.

    Comments: I left a comment last year on how "Fury" was found by the Helfers as an old, broken down horse. I just wondered, if you can verify this? So far, I have only heard of this from their book (written by them). I have since come to know one of the animal trainers that worked with them, and found out all may not have been as rosy as the book made it seem.
