Step 2 – Inserting Tables

 

 

Typically web pages are formatted using tables. Tables provide the capability to format text and images more closely to the appearance of a printed page.

 

The first step is to insert a 5 X 1 row table for our navigation links.

 

  1. Insert a 5 X 1 going to the menu bar:
  2. Choose Table
  3. Insert Table dialog window
  4. Enter the number of columns (5)
  5. Enter the number of rows (1)
  6. Click OK to accept

 

Next we will add additional tables for the paragraph structure for the content. Here we are creating a row for each section topic within our page.

 

In our example here we are inserting a 2 X 3 row table.
