Erika's Goals Page

Knowing my goals will help you to understand why I do the things that I do and say the things that I say.

MY ULTIMATE GOAL IS TO GET TO HEAVEN WHEN I DIE.

Achieving several smaller goals will help bring me to my one ULTIMATE GOAL.

1. COLLEGE- I went to college right out of high school. I chose college over going straight to work because I wanted to be able to work less than 40 hours and still be capable of supporting myself. I was an "undecided science" major for two years before I transferred into pharmacy school. I have now earned my BS and PharmD and am ready for the workforce!
2. JOB- I started out working in a retail pharmacy setting because that is where I had received the most experience prior to graduation. I've since changed jobs and am now working in the hospital setting where I face fewer moral issues than I had before.
3. MARRIAGE- I am currently in a very happy marriage. My husband has helped me to grow so much over the last couple of years. I would not be the person I am today if it wasn't for his help and encouragement.
4. HOUSE- Check!
5. FAMILY- I have been blessed with a wonderful family. Now, I just have to do my best to help them get to heaven!

In addition to the goals listed above which help to shape me as a person, there is another goal which will help me to achieve my ultimate goal. I would like to help as many people as possible to desire and achieve my ultimate goal for themselves.

Two ways I plan to do this are:
1. By speaking out against evil, which helps to raise awareness.
2. By ALWAYS speaking the TRUTH, even if it is not what people want to hear.
3. More important than anything I can say, is what I do every minute of my life. I aim to try to do God's will in everything and to be a good example for my children and others. ACTIONS ALWAYS SPEAK LOUDER THAN WORDS.

I also try to remember the Seven Corporal Works of Mercy as well as the Seven Spiritual Works of Mercy as I live my daily life.

The Seven Corporal Works of Mercy
To feed the hungry.
To shelter the homeless.
To give drink to the thirsty.
To visit the sick.
To clothe the naked.
To visit the imprisoned.
To bury the dead.

The Seven Spiritual Works of Mercy
To convert the sinner.
To instruct the ignorant.
To counsel the doubtful.
To comfort the sorrowful.
To bear wrongs patiently.
To forgive injuries.
To pray for the living and the dead.

The Works of Mercy listed above are what Jesus wants us to do as we live our daily lives.
