We are in growing zone 9a and have a "Beaumont clay" soil, which is nutrient rich but drains poorly. It must be amended with an organic material / compost and sand mix to make it suitable for growing most plants. This journal is an area where I keep quick reference information concerning plants and gardening for my garden is southeast Texas.

Was in west side location Not doing well. Transplanted to container12-2001 on 3-2002 moved to ENE location for morning sun and mostly shady locale.
