Edwina Booth starred as Nina Trent, the daughter of missionary Edith Trent, who was killed by natives, and is being sought by Aloysius "Trader" Horn and his friend Peru in the movie Trader Horn (1931).

Rochelle Hudson is the star of Savage Girl in 1932 and was considered for the Jungle Girl serial, but Frances Gifford won that role.

Mary Korman stars in the low-budget serial Queen of the Jungle. the story of two childhood friends who are separated when the little girl Joan is taken away in a hot air balloon and dropped in darkest Africa where the natives hail her as the great white Goddess and her pal David spends his life looking for her. (1935)

Dorothy Lamour stars as Ulah, The Jungle Princess. Chris Powell is in Malaysia with his fiancée and her father, capturing wild animals. While out hunting, he is attacked by a tiger, but the tiger is the pet of Ulah, a young woman who grew up by herself in the jungle. She rescues Chris and takes him back to her cave, where she nurses him to health and falls in love with him. (1936)

Frances Gifford starred in the serial Jungle Girl (1941), based on a character created by Edgar Rice Burroughs.

Kay Aldrich took over the role of Nyoka in the serial Perils Of Nyoka (1942); reissued as both Nyoka and the Tigermen and Nyoka and the Lost Secrets of Hippocrates.

Ann Corio was the star with Buster Crabbe in Jungle Siren (1942).

Frances Gifford was in the jungles again as Zandra in Tarzan Triumphs (1943).

Linda Sterling starred as Kay Arnold, The Tiger Woman , (1944) opposite Allan Lane and George Lewis. Kay Arnold, an heiress turned Jungle Goddess, helps oil company representative Allan Saunders fight off a villainous competitor headed by unscrupulous attorney Fletcher Walton and his henchmen.

Julie London stars as Doreen Stockwell and Buster Crabbe plays Ray Gorman in Nabonga. In an effort to clear the name of his deceased father, Ray Gorman travels to Africa to track down the money embezzled from his father's bank. Gorman finds the money in the care of 'white witch' Doreen, daughter of the dead embezzler. However Doreen is guarded by a gorilla and Ray's guide is also after the money.(1944) .

Acquanetta as Lea, the Leopard woman in Tarzan and the Leopard Woman (1946) opposite Johnny Weissmuller and Brenda Joyce as Jane.

Gale Sherwood stars as Meelah, the Blonde Savage . An expedition into the deep jungle discovers a native tribe led by a tall white blonde woman. (1947)

Lois Hall wore the same costume as Frances Gifford had in Jungle Girl in Daughter of the Jungle (1949).

Anita Lhoest was the Captive Girl which starred Weissmuller as Jungle Jim (1950)

Wanda McKay as the Jungle Goddess(1952), a low budget jungle thriller.

Irish McCalla starred in the TV series Sheena, Queen of the Jungle, in 1954.

Phyllis Coates (Lois Lane in TV's Superman series) wears a familiar looking costume in Panther Girl of the Kongo (1955).

Marion Michaels went topless in the movie Liane, Jungle Princess (1956). Marion returened in the sequel Nature Girol and the Slaver in 1957.
