Pelagic Birdwatching

"Pelagic" refers to species of birds which are of the sea or ocean. They are, as a rule, only on land for a brief period of time for nesting purposes. The only opportunity to witness many of the pelagic birds common to the Bay of Fundy is by boat!

We incorporate pelagic birding into our tours, whether they be Whale Watching or Coastal Sightseeing excursions. Passengers are given the opportunity to view such species as eider ducks, wilson & storm petrels, greater & sooty shearwaters, razorbills, arctic terns, gannets and the colorful "atlantic puffin" to name a few.

If you are a bird watching enthusiast or perhaps just somewhat interested, I assure you that you will be thrilled to see such species glide effortlessly through the air, dive into the water for their lunch or simply swim lazily by the tour boat.
