Tea Party Time

I'm late, I'm late, I'm LATE!


English Tea, is an Elegant Afternoon Tradition.
Many Traditional Long established Hotels, offer
 Afternoon Tea, often served in their grand and glorious Lobbies

Traditional Menu

Assorted Finger Sandwiches:
Cucumber  Shrimp  Pinwheel Asparagus
Scones:
Scones with Clotted cream and Strawberry Jam
Tea Breads:
Date Nut Loaf  
 Pastries: Lemon Raspberry TartsCustard Tarts, Petite Fours
Cake: Fresh Orange Cake or Chocolate Chiffon
Tea, ( cream, sugar, lemon slices)


Non Traditional Menu

Hot and Cold Appetizers:
Chicken & Nut Pate, Dilled Brie with Salmon
Mini Quiche, Filled Phyllo Pastries, Cheese Puffs

Sandwiches:
Tea Sandwiches  Frosted Sandwich Loaf
Bars and Cookies:
 Nanaimo Bars, Confetti Bars, Brandied Almond Squares
Butter Tarts
Cherry Winks, Chocolate Thumbprints, Hey Diddles, Lemon Bars
Desserts:
Chocolate Trifle or Strawberry Lasagna
or Banana Foster Cheesecake Squares
or Pumpkin Pecan Cake
Beverages:
Minted Ice Tea, Tea and Coffee

 

Allow 3-4 tiny sandwiches per person, depending on the age.  Allow one piece of cake/dessert per person and 2-3 small fancy pastries.  Increase or decrease items on the menu as required.
