Bark and leaves of a nice E. pauciflora ssp. niphophila in an Olympia, WA garden.

Bark of E. pauciflora ssp. niphophila at Vashon Island Botanic Gardens, Vashon Island, WA.  The leaves in the background belong mostly to other euc species.

A young E. pauciflora ssp. niphophila in a pot.  This tree is just a little past planting time, but would probably still be all right.

A close up of the patchwork bark of E. pauciflora ssp. niphophila.  This tree is in a garden in Yachats, OR.

Leaves of E. pauciflora ssp. niphophila in my garden.  Note the reddish stems (which not all E. pauciflora ssp. niphophila have) and parallel leaf venation.  This tree is interesting in that it only grows for a couple months in the spring, like most normal trees but unlike most other eucs.  However, it is so vigorous when it does grow that it is still overall a reasonably fast growing tree.

Another picture of the above euc.
