Ana's Pictures

The following pictures were taken by my great friend, Ralph Derderian, and his magic camera.  He always does a girl justice.  I've  used two of his pictures as business cards and always received tons of compliments.  Thank you Ralph!

My white costume (1st picture) is made with pearls and Austrian crystals, each one sewn on one by one, designed by a wonderful costumer, Ya Shara, over 20 years ago.  I'm lucky enough to get to own it.  It's first proud owner, and good friend of mine, is Yasmeen Bovee.  Just the belt and bra weigh 7 pounds.  The black velvet set was made by my sister, Monica, whose dancing graced the stage at Antoine Hajj's Hajji Baba's in Mission Valley.  Legend has it that Antoine closed down the restaurant one weekend evening so that a Saudi prince could have a show for his family with Monica being the star dancer.

Enjoy  photos on my pages, and.....for MORE photos see:

Back then.....                 Me now.......

I worked my little fingers to the bone making my gold coin costume and my gold/red/green costume.  There's the crystal/pearl costume again.  I've been dancing at Greek Town Taverna/Restaurant for over 7 years.

          A while back....           Me, now.

The following pictures pictures were taken January 2002, by my talented friend and photographer Steve Covault

At Cabo San Lucas, Mexico ---  All they needed was the camels for the set!   A huge tent was set up on the shore of the hotel, and hundreds of candles were lit before the exotic feast was set out........it was an unforgettable evening for the guests from around the world's Hilton Hotel Company.   Center picture was taken at Cabo.

No, it's not a harem---This really IS my bedroom.  I made most of the pillows you see here. Some were gifts from my dancer friends.  They know I love beautiful things.

Jan. 2003   .....

I searched far and wide for my "magic lamp".  I've yet to see the genie come out of it, but I'll keep trying!!!!  If you find one that works, let me know where you got it!!!!!

Will my genie grant me a wish? My wish is to dance for YOUR PARTY!

Sometimes a girl just needs quiet time, to think things out, to relax..........I'm a wanna-be Cleopatra.

Cleopatra and I.....I think we're of the same mentality.....Girls just want to have FUN!.

Blue-green is another favorite.  This one is made by Pharaoh's Treasures of Egypt.  I try to make most of my costumes....a penny saved is a penny earned-------I'm not as rich as Fifi and Lucy, but I sure do have fun!!!!!!

Another Egyptian ready-made costume.  This one was spotted in an import store in Seattle by Monica.  She called me and described it on phone, and I said, SURE!!!  I trusted her judgment, as she has great taste!

Here I an dancing with Frank Lazzaro of Middle Earth and Randwulf of Al Samoud Band ....you can't see Robert, but I hear him!  This was at my "Ana's Christmas Extravaganza Party" a few years ago.  Marlo and Salo from NovaMenco were there, as was Richard Steiger, Master Drummer,  and flamenco dancers, Rebecca Corvera  and Mateo (Ole Madrid Restaurant - Flamenco).

Here's Lookin' at YOU!

Below is a poster that was made when I did a special show at "Casa Plasencia Restaurant" in Tijuana, Mexico, Feb. 2003. The audience was wonderful!

I will make your party a memorable event......

This ride is better than any magic carpet (2000 Harley Road King Classic). It really does feel like we're floating.  We can thank our mentors, Paul & Sally Gettings for inspiring us to ride. We've had may wonderful adventures on the road.  My costume fits in one of the saddle bags, therefore, have costume,  will travel!    I've danced at the Knuckle-Head at Sturgis in South Dakota, Ensenada & Tijuana Mexico, Trinidad Colorado, traveled through Utah, Iowa, across the Mississippi, Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, Nevada, Arkansas and half of California.   I've danced for the famous "El Jefe Bar & Grill" in Calafia, Mexico.

I am a member of Tribe.net Belly Dance Biker Babes

In my spare time, I ride the HOG with my main Genie, Steve.  Better than any flying carpet!  We've been to Sturgis BikeFest in South Dakota,  Ottumwa Iowa and crossed over the Mississippi, through Colorado, Utah, Arizona, Four Corners, Texas, San Francisco, Hollister Festival, Laguna Seca, Tijuana Mexico, and the BEST and only biker bar & grill: "EL JEFE" in Calafia, south of Rosarito Mexico!!!  I danced at the Knuckle Head Bar in Sturgis--they loved belly-dancing, in Colorado, and Tijuana, besides all my other dancing  engagements.  What can I say......I'm a gypsy at heart!
