Sooty

August 1995 to June 26th 2014

dx-ed hyperthyroidism April 2012






Sooty reacted very badly to the meds for this condition and we feared to lose her but she continued to do so well for a further two years or more on Hills y/d low iodine diet food.

Major concern a few weeks ago as she was losing weight although still eating well and then the last week would no longer eat the Hills y/d, wanted only raw! We feared was cancer, this most likely, but due to her age did not want to put her through further tests and vet visits!

Yesterday she ate very little but drank water and even came out in the garden with us for a while but this was to be for a last look around.

She then curled up in her basket and went peacefully to sleep never to wake again!





RIP Sweet Sooty, such a very brave fight right through 'til your final day.

The house today is so very quiet without you.
