Part 23

It a small, quiet room somewhere in space, two figures gazed out the window as the sun rose over the Earth. Bare feet wiggle on plush carpet as the two held each other close. Wide violet eyes looked up solemnly at contented cobalt ones.

"Do you think, after the ceremony, we could go to Earth...to live?"

"I'd like that." Heero nuzzled his lover's hair, inhaling the scent of coconuts. The stood like that for a while, neither wanting to break the silence. Finally, Duo broke the silence.

"Are you mad at me for destructing Wing Zero?" He nibbled on his lip nervously.

Heero chuckled. "Ie. The Gundams are no longer needed anyway. You did what was necessary."

"So did you..."

Heero frowned and clutched his lover tightly. "I broke my oath." If the bullet had entered a millimeter to the left, his violet-eyed angel would have been sent back to heaven...by his own hands.

"You saved the world."

"You are my world." Lips pressed against each other in a gentle, yet passionate kiss.

"Can we get a dog?" Duo asked later. Heero smiled down at him. "If you want, though I'm not the one you should ask." The Japanese boy gestured to the figure lying in the bed.

"I think I'd prefer a cat." Trowa's grin eyes sparkled with humor.

Duo laughed happily and went over to gently hug the tall boy. Trowa wrapped his arms around his beloved and gestured for Heero to join them. The Japanese boy sat at the edge of the bed, tickling Duo's feet absently. The American giggled.

"Then after the wedding, we'll head to Earth and get a cat." Heero announced.

Duo's eyes filled with tears of happiness as he gazed at the two most important people in his world.

"I don't care where we go, as long as we're together."

The other two agreed.
