 Welcome to the Gastric Bypass Support Group of Charlotte County's website. This website is intended to provide information to help you on your journey both as a potential weight loss surgery patient and as a post-op patient. So explore the pages, come back and visit often as our webmaster continues to add more information to our website. Our group meets twice a month to provide support and information to pre-op and post-op weight-loss surgical patients and their families and people considering having weight loss surgery. Most of our members have had the roux-en-y, more commenly called gastric bypass surgery, but we also have members who have had or are considering lab-band surgery or other forms of weight loss surgery. We welcome anyone who has had or is interested in having weight loss surgery to attend our meetings and to bring your family or support person(s). Our meetings are for support and information. There will be a time for sharing and questions about your particular situation. We also have guest speakers such as nutritionists, physicians, etc. to speak on the specific post-op issues that we face. Our "Spotlight" Page will be featuring our members and their weight loss journeys. Our current "Spotlight" is on Maria Pallotillo.
