Introduction to Using
The Shop Wizard
I hope that after reading this, that you have a better idea of just what the shop wizard can do for you. If you want to make
a serious amount of np, you'll need to know what the shop wizard is capable of in order to do that.
The first thing that you need to know if you're just starting out is that the shop wizard doesn't necessarily
give you the cheapest price on the first go. You should refresh at least three or four times, even if you are just looking for some food for your pet,
rather than trolling for cheap items to markup in your shop. If you are in it for the NP, there are some quirks in the Shop Wizard that can be to your advantage.
Since there is a limit now to how long you can use the shop wizard before he will send you away, it is more important to keep your searches efficient.
Here's how to use it:
First off, always choose the option 'containing this phrase' instead of 'exactly this phrase', unless you're looking for a
specific item. That way you get more searches, faster.
If you want to search for part of a word or phrase, the wizard will use _ to represent 'any' letter. so if you want to find
an item with a certain number of letters you can do it like this- e.g. Typing
in 'Yellow ____ Keyring' will turn up all yellow keyrings with a pet whos name has four letters such as 'Kiko'.
Each _ acts as one letter.
The % key acts as a break of unlimited length. For instance, typing in
'Yellow % Keyring' will find a yellow keyring of any type.
You can use the previous two keys to search for items with certain letters- e.g. Typing in 'Clo%n'
will turn up Chia Clown items, the 'Clowning Around" book, but also 'Red Clockwork Grundo'. You see, it searches for an item with
the letters 'CLO' in order and the letter N anywhere else in the word.
