Mi prende e mi porta verso l'alto. |
Along the borderoctober 2000
My head is aching, everything around is turning. Someone is talking, I don't want to listen. An obsessive music fills the air, together with autumn leaves, spring flowers, snowflakes. What is happening? I'm walking along the edge of the road, at the left bare trees germinate snowflocks, at the right an old man is waiting me to go to him. I'm pleased. Why? It doesn't matter. Everybody's laughing around me, even the grass in the field at my left. But at my right they are fighting they are suffering and dying. Some mushroom flees away frightened and leaves free my walking. At my left they are toasting happy cups of beer let them drink. I'm on the edge of a ravine, at my left the madness chasm, at my right firm rock and cold. A song of an old woman without teeth caresses my cheecks and make me turn around, around and I don't remember anything. At the right fear, at the left oblivion. They are waiting for me, they want to play with me, I can't leave them there, I throw myself into the ravine, my thoughts abandon me a smile takes my lips. But a shadow reaches me, you again! Takes me and brings me upwards. |
