Interview with Brandon Ainsley!

For those people that don't know who you are introduce yourself.

IF YOU DONT KNOW ME, MY NAME IS BRANDON AINSLEY. I LIVE IN NIAGARA FALLS
CANANDA AND AM CURRENTLY THE DRUMMER FOR THE STEVE GARDINER BAND. 

How did you start out?  Have you always played the drums?

I GOT INVOLVED IN MUSIC WHEN I WAS 10. I PLAYED THE PIANO FOR 2 YEARS AND THEN
THE GUITAR FOR ABOUT A YEAR. WHEN I WAS 13 OR 14 I DECIDED I WANTED TO PLAY
DRUMS. SO I'VE BEEN PLAYING DRUMS NOW FOR ABOUT 5 OR 6 YEARS.

You're currently on the road playing drums for Steve Gardiner. Anything
interesting happen during a show yet?

NOT YET. WE'VE ONLY PLAYED A FEW SHOWS TOGETHER THUS FAR. THE TOUR STARTS AT
THE END OF JUNE, SO WE'LL HAVE TO SEE WHAT HAPPENS THEN.

Word's out that designed the logo for Hidell. Where did you come up with the
idea?

THEY ACTUALLY CAME TO ME WITH THE IDEA AND ASKED IF I COULD DESIGN SOMETHING
FOR THEM. SO IT WAS THEIR IDEA. 

If you had to choose between music or art, which would with over the other

ITS HARD TO SAY YA KNOW. RIGHT NOW MY FOCUS IS ON MUSIC, BUT I STILL ENJOY ART
IN MY FREE TIME. BOTH ARE WAYS OF EXPRESSING MYSELF, SO I CANT REALLY IMAGINE
ONLY HAVING TO DO ONE OR THE OTHER. 

Who are your musical influences?

OBVIOUSLY MY PAST MUSIC INSTRUCTORS HAVE INFLUENCED ME GREATLY. OTHER PEOPLE
WOULD INCLUDE OTHER BANDS THAT I HAVE PLAYED OR WORKED WITH. I THINK THEY HAVE
HELP ME TO GROW MUSICALLY THE MOST. 

If you weren't playing drums and doing artwork for groups, what would you like
to do?

I WOULD PROBABLY BE INVOLVED MORE IN ROWING IF I WASNT PLAYING DRUMS AND
WORKING ON ARTWORK.
