About Lemonade Stand

Lemonade Stand Publishing is my (Noah Paul Borgondy) project. It's not really a publishing

company, it's just the name I came up with to cover various things I put together. Currently the

main parts of LStand are little publications that I print from time to time, and this website. The

publications include writings by myself and others, and come in two flavors - regular issues and

travel-themed issues. Both include things like stories, letters, poems, memoirs, essays, postcards,

and photos. This website is fairly new, and has a place for books & movies that I (and others)

recommend, and a blog that I update fairly often.

All of this is done in part because it's good every now and then to do things because you want to

do them - like writing, or putting together a publication, or traveling. Even if it isn't "progressive"

or "career-oriented" or "sensible" or otherwise associated with the greater schemes of self-perfection

and making a dollar.

The format of the issues is inspired by punk rock zines, literary journals, scrapbooks, letters,

diaries, and postcards. It is in some ways a response to e-mail and the internet – all fine and good,

but it’s nice to have something you can hold in your hands. Getting real mail in your box is

wonderful.
