Armadillo teaches that you must learn to set your boundaries - once you have set your boundaries, things that are meant to hurt you will just roll off your back. Armadillo uses that hard shell of his to keep from feeling invaded.
Take time to define your space. Learn how to say no to people, how to keep people out of the space that is rightly yours. Don't feel that withdrawing to protect your personal space is the easy way out - sometimes its the hardest thing to do.
Are you honoring the time you need for YOU? Are you always saying yes to everyone, and neglecting yourself in the process? Do you feel like a doormat? Do you ever feel like you're being taken for granted, or used, but you don't say anything for fear of hurting someone?
It might be time you let Armadillo teach you his medicine and his magick. Retreat inside that shell of yours, work out where you want your boundaries to be set, and learn to live life for YOU, not for everyone else.

Armadillo, however, does warn you to not get into the habit of rolling up and hiding. There are times that you need to open up and tackle the situation head on, instead of it waiting to pass you by. Sure, if you're hide you can't get hurt....but you'll never grow!
Once you are out of that armor coated shell, you might feel vunerable. But armadillo says that it is only then, when you feel vunerable, and realise you aren't invincible, that you can learn the true message of Armadillo and his medicine and magick.

Set your boundaries. Don't let people trample on you. But at the same time, don't hide from them. Learn to expose yourself to the things you need to be exposed to to grow in a HEALTHY way, and learn to use your boundaries to protect yourself from things you don't need to be exposed to (things that will affect you in a negative way, and not encourage growth).
