Settling The Score
Style

It comes in black or purple in a fairly tough plastic shell. It's not too big, and the slow opening of the case is a little over-dramatic.
Design
35
Fails poorly. The tabs seem to have a death grip on your games, and you may end up breaking a disc if you're not careful. It's also stupid how the pages sit at a 90 degree angle, making it a bit difficult to get the discs on the bottom side.
Functionality
75
It does hold your games, but a little too well.
Durabillity
80
The case is made of some pretty thick plastic, but plasitc isn't exactally indestructable.
Compatibillity
80
It's designed specifically to hold your Gamecube discs ,which means you won't be able to store your PS2 or Xbox games in here.
Value
70
It's around $5, which would have been a great value had this thing not been flawed. I've used this thing for about a month, and now it just get's kicked around, empty.
Overall (not an avg.)
45
Had the execution of this device been better, such as not keeping a tight grip on your games, and having easier access to the games on the bottom side of the pages, it would have scored much higher, since I'm always looking for something such as this. And even though it's only $5, it's problems makes it too hard to reccomend.

If you're like me, and get to a point where you start to own a lot of games (since the MSRP of many titles seem to drop more often than it used to last generation), and taking those games with you on trips or to even keep them easily on hand is a bit of a task. It's easy to take care of this problem for PS2 and Xbox games with a normal CD/DVD case, but Gamecube games are smaller, and while they do fit in most CD cases, they slide all over the place.

So to find a case that is designed to specifically hold Gamecube discs, especially 40 of them, is a pretty good find, especially when it's around $5. Nyko seemed to have the solution for the anal-retentive Gamecube owner who has a lot of games, and wants to find the right means of strage for them, especially when you want to take the games with you. But the poor design of this case really ruins the concept, and ultimately, you would be better off buying a normal CD case.

There are two problems with Nyko's Mini-CD Organizer. One, the games are really hard to get out of the case once you put them in. The one thing you don't have to worry about with this thing is games coming loose. But it also has a rather tight grip of them on the center. I was afraid that I might end up cracking a couple of my discs because the tabs just wouldn't give on these things. You really need to pres down on the center to try and release the small tabs, and pull the disc gently, but firmly at the same time. That's just a bit ridiculous for something that should do nothing more than hold games.

The second problem with this accessory/peripheral is the angle the pages/flaps are set at. The first couple of pages at the top are at a pretty good angle to get the games off of the bottom, as it's almost 180 degrees of rotation. But the further down you go, the harder it is to get the games off the bottom side, as the pages/flaps are set at a 90 degree angle, pretty much vertical. Combine that with the death grip the tabs have on your games, and this thing is almost not worth the purchase.

This peripheral was a good idea, as it's hard to find anything that holds discs of this size. But it's too much of a hassle to pull these games out of the case, and if some were not careful, they may end up cracking and destroying their games. Nyko doesn't offer a replacement guarntee of games broken as a result of this thing, so take warning now, don't pull hard! The overall problems this thing presents is really not worth the purchase, even if it's $5.
