Poetry Writing Guidelines
No Limit on delegation participation But only 1 entry per delegate.

Roses are Red,
Violets are Blue,
This poem sucks,
What can you do?

Okay … that poem really sucked. We’re hoping all of you can do a much better job, when you guys hand your poems in.

Your poem will work off the theme, "Salt of the Earth, Light of the World.” What does that verse mean to you? How do you interpret that verse? How can we apply it to our lives?

We’re looking for the most creative, meaningful, and thought-out entry.

Criteria:
You can use any form of poetry.
No more than 1 page.
Only one entry per delegate.

It must be handed in by the end of the first night of the Conference, which is Saturday, July 20th, 2002.

Original Song Compostion Guidelines
12 entries are eligible to compete in this event

Your written music must be of a postive and/or christian nature. The compostion can be no longer than 6 minutes in length. No additional dancers, nor adding non band members during the performance.

You will notify the us exactly what instruments you will be using, as well as how many people will be needed to orchestrate your musical piece.

Five typed copies of your song lyrics are required the day of the competition. It will have the name of the song, your name and delegation.

You will be judged on Creativity (10), Uniqueness of lyrics (20), Content (30), Musical arrangement (20), On-stage presence during performance (10), Crowd rapport and reaction (10)

T-Shirt Design Competition
1 Entry Per DelegaTion

Have you noticed that every conference everyone looks so much beTTer? IT's because of Those hype T-shirts every delegaTion sporTs. Let's see Those hype T-shirt logo designs again This year. This Time around, The design will have a liTTle more bearing on iT, and will be one of our compeTiTions This year. We will only accept one design per delegaTion.

RequiremenTs:

The T-shirT musT represenT delegation well
IT musT have 2-3 colours included in The logo
Only one T-shirT per delegaTion will be accepTed

PresenT 2 versions of T-shirt logo:

(a) one done in colour
(b) one in black and whiTe

MusT be handed in:
(a) on paper with an explainaTion of logo
(b) as a .jpg file saved on a floppy disk or burned on a cd
(c) prinTed on a T-shirT. You don'T have to hand in a shirT. (The judges will be Taking noTe ThroughouT The enTire weekend.)
(d) fully labelled with name of designer(s) & delegaTion.

You will be judged on CreaTiviTy (10), OriginaliTy (10), WearabiliTy (15), RequiremenTs meT (15)

Worship Band Competition Guidelines
12 delegations are eligible to compete in this event!

Your band must have one of each of the following: a rhythm guitarist, a bass guitarist, a keyboardist, and a drummer. Extra points will be given if there is a lead guitarist as well.

The rhythm guitarist, the bass guitarist and keyboardist MUST sing. All other members playing instruments are optional.

There must be no more than 8 vocalists including your rhythm, bass and keyboard players. Which means you can add a maximum number of 5 to sing in your band.

Other instruments are welcome as well. (For example; perscussion, wind instruments, deejay, etc …) You must notify us of what you are going to be playing.

Areas can bring their own instruments but Toronto will provide the drumset.

You will be required to play 2 songs. One must be a worship song, and the other will be any song of your choice. The song must have clean lyrical content and must be in english. Your entire performance cannot exceed 10 minutes.

Your band will be judged on Creativity in Musical Arrangement (15), Originality (15), Unified as a Band in terms of Vocals (15) Instruments (15) Audience Impact (10) Crowd Rapport(10) Christ-Centered (10) Transition between Songs (10)
