Praisestock: The Metanoia

Jesus Christ: Pix not part of Metanoia Uof I YFC update "Go and tell all what I have shown you"

no doubt my brethren! (quite long, but please read)

I was in middle of doing my homework when I just couldnt help but think about what God did last night during "Praisestock" Indeed, "Praisestock" was a random idea/God's Idea! and last night, He turned that vision into *reality*.

Wow, I was so worried because it was raining all Morning, thunder storms all afternoon and so i checked the weather channel and it said the Thunderstorms would continue into the night. Moreover, there was a "FLOODWATCH" and so i doubted. I doubted what God would do. there was so so much hardwork and prayer put into this. So much and i wondered why would God allow thunderstorms. or even How could people come when the weather really sucks down here.

But amen amen i say to you! God won't let WEATHER get in the way of His mighty plans, His mighty plans for revival! for worship! God is God and I am not. He knows what He is about! more than 100 people showed up! PACKED HOUSE MAN! the nuns here at Newman Foundation were all hyped! It looks like it's officially going to be an annual thing with the aim of bigger venues!

Praisestock was basically brought up like this... Woodstock --> Jesus --> Praisestock!

The performances were very CHRIST-Centered! People found out that Jesus too and even more so knows how to

1) dance - He is a GREAT dancer
2) Rhyme
3) Speak Spoken Word/Slam Poetry
4) House routines- oh my, God tore it up on stage that time too!
5) Singing - His voice is so nice and so on!

and i say God did all these things because these talents are His to begin with and He is just letting us "borrow" them for His glory! Wow, dancing with God- what a radical notion!

and the best part too is between acts, the emcees didn't just introduce each act, we plugged in importance of Prayer, the St. John's weekday mass schedule and weekend mass schedules, the Importance of mass, the importance of confession and confession times, the current church scandal and then Jesus at the end, and we ended with worship!

we evangelized not only through performing but in speech too! we, or He through the emcees, laid the "smack down" on His Glory! it was very evangelistic in nature and indeed very *Catholic empowering* (something definitely needed at this point in the Church's life.) C-YFC is growing here my brethren! God totally has a purpose for all of this! He is awesome

C-YFC U of I would like to thank the community back in chicago for the prayers, the fasting, the hahah, i dunno! also, thank you norcal YFC. when i saw your "Exodus video" the performances were great! and STEPH- the whole plugging in of what Jesus/YFC is all about with no shame between performances! I admit, without watching Norcal's Exodus, we probably would've evanglized only through performances, not speech or speaking about Jesus in between acts! we got our inspiration from you steph and ur co-emcee- (i dont know his name) well, i must go! back to homework! but don't worry! i caught all of it on VIDEO!! after finals, can we all get together at my crib or something and watch this video!

God bless
