'puters, sometimes they are wonderful, and other times they are a valid reason to go insane. One of those damned if you do, damned if you don't situations, I guess. Well, I've had a few 'puters over the years, some great, most just loads of crap, but I had fun with every one. -----MR2

My first 'puter was a Coleco Adam...probably the worst put-together
'puter ever! It would work for like a week, then we had
to take it back, get another one, then repeat the process all
over again until we finally just got a refund instead.

The next wonder machine was a Timex Sinclair, a feeble attemp at
making an affordable computer, but hey, it was free!

After that was an Atari 800XL, which was good for a while
until Atari imploded. I was actually on the internet with that thing,
back when CompuServe charged you access by the minute...oops,
that was one hell of a bill to pay!!

I finally got a Commodore 64 when it was being phased out, but
I had the cool GEOS operating System, which was like a poor
man's Windows, so I was happy for a while, but by that
time there was no longer any software available. After that it was
several years before I got a computer again, but this time I
at least have something useful.

This may not be the most powerful 'puter out there, but for
$300.00 I am pleased to heck with it. She does everything I
want her to, and no, I do not use her to play videogames,
I have consoles for that on my 27" TV, which is way better
than my dinky monitor.
