Maj Britt Baker was born in Palo Alto, CA, but raised from the age of 1 in Portland, OR. After having a blast at Benson High School, she went on to Oregon State University where she received her B.S. in Forest Management. She married Brian Baker in 1995, and worked at various dead-end jobs until her husband finished Grad School at Lewis and Clark College and they joined the Peace Corps--spending 18 months in Ecuador, South America. Returning home with a new perspective on life, Maj Britt pursued her decided career path in computers, and now has a great job at a small software company. The lasagna recipe was passed to her by her mother. The family recipe is a favorite at birthdays and special occasions. Maj Britt enjoys reading romance and science fiction; loves to watch B-movies; is an adult advisor for an assembly of the International Order of the Rainbow for Girls; is on the board of The Well Arts Group, a non-profit organization which promotes healing-in-arts; and also loves to sing with her husband Brian.
Amy Bilyeu is a lawyer/student who is about to become a tax attorney. She would rather own a bistro. She has a lifelong commitment to her relationship with food.
Patti Chandler was born and raised in Portland, Oregon. She enjoys fishing, camping, and family outings. She especially enjoys game night with the family. She looks forward to many travels.
Meg Louise Davis grew up in North Portland, Oregon, graduated with a degree in Social work from Concordia University in 2000, currently lives in Milwaukie, Oregon, and is a case manager at an alternative school for children with behavioral/emotional problems.
Ryan Davis is the editor of Memory Cue.
Angie Hughes’ favorite new hobbies are snowboarding, learning to play the guitar, and wood carving. She lives in Sapporo, Japan, with her husband. She is having a great time, but misses the beaches of Oregon, her family and friends, and sloppy Mexican food. Her dream is to run her own theatre, but she will settle for a black Scottie dog named Angus Madison Hughes. She thanks her family for having a sense of humor while being the inspiration for all of her writing.
Shirley Kinion
The wood cook stove was part of our lives, and I can still see it in my mind. Oh, to have it now.
Cyndi Ross
Graeme Wheaton and Leanne Haigh are from Adelaide, Australia, and currently live in Hokkaido, Japan, where a warm winter's day can get as hot as -5 degrees C! They recently married (11/24/2000) in Thailand and honeymooned in the southern province of Trang on a gorgeous and almost deserted island.

Biographical Notes
I was born in Rickreall, Oregon, on October 21, 1928. I had three older sisters and three younger brothers. When I was around two years old we moved to the big city: Dallas, Oregon. I grew up in Dallas, graduated from high school, and then married and lived here for about twenty-five years. I have two children, Sally and Stan, two granddaughters, two grandsons, and one great-grandson. I lived in Salem for fifteen years while working for the State. After retiring, I bought a manufactured home in Dallas, and I am now back where I started. I am writing my autobiography, and the articles I contributed are from that writing.
I was born in Germany and raised in Oklahoma and Oregon. I graduated high school in Oregon in 1990, and went on to college. During my studies at Oregon State University, I changed my major from Business to Theatre Arts with a German minor. Upon graduation, I decided to join the US Army, where I was going to be a linguist; however, they changed that, and I ended up enlisting for Generator Repair. This job was chosen because it guaranteed I would be sent to Germany. During my two years there, I spent two months in Croatia and also met my wonderful husband. The Army moved us back to North Carolina, where I spent almost one more year in the Army until I got out three months before the end of my contract because I was pregnant. As of now, January 2001, my husband and I are both out of the Army and living in South Carolina. We have an amazing new child, Cody, and during the summer we have our other wonderful son, seven year old Brandon.
