Josh, Brent, Matt,and Andre had taken a summer job at an exclusive summer camp as counselors. Neither had ever worked at a camp before. So it was going to be a unique and different experience. much more so than they realized.

They had to arrive a week early for orientation. The first three days they found very grueling going over regulations, procedures and assignments. The senior counselors seemed to be helpful and interested in familiarizing the three to the camp.

The four were invited by the others to a local pub. After a few brews with the others they were informed. "You need haircuts, as an initiation for you first year." Josh, Brent, Matt and Andre were not sure just what they were referring to. Josh and Matt had neat flattops. Brent and Andre had their hair longer.

The four had no idea what was in store as far as haircuts. Once back at camp they soon would learn what haircuts meant. The senior counselors called them to their cabin. Much to their amazement laid on a table was a white cloth. An assemblage of clippers, shave cream, and safety razors were neatly lined up. The four tried to bolt out the cabin door, but it was blocked and bolted. 

They were ordered to sit on a bunk. Then one by one was called. First Josh was taken to a chair. His flattop was buzzed skin tight then he was lathered and shaven smooth. Brent was next as Andre and the others watched. Brent had his thick red locks buzzed down and he too was shaven bald. Matt got some extra special treatment. His black flattop was bleached white then he was buzzed and shaven bald. Andre during all this was shaking. For he had always worn his hair long and feared being bald like the others now were. But he had no choice. He was saved for last. His long blonde shoulder length hair was quickly shorn from his head like a sheep. Then he was lathered and shaven smooth. Matt. Josh and Brent hated their bald heads. Andre was more surprised by his new look.

When they were told that they could grow their hair back all were thrilled. But it was Andre who was most fearful of being shaved who declared "I like the look. I am going to keep mine shaved." The senior counselors were surprised as were Josh, Brent and Matt. But Andre was true to his word and shaved his head throughout the season.
