Up and coming trip to Egypt 
Shortly we will be spending 5 weeks updating our information concerning The Coptic Orphanage in Luxor with the aim of creating promotional literature.
We also hope to extend our scope of promotion in Luxor to an organization, which
caters for handicapped children.
Egypt has a very special place in the heart of Children Helping Children.
As an Egyptologist the founder of CHC and some of his team, regularly visit
Egypt. It was also during his extended stay in Luxor whilst he was writing
‘Children of the Nile’, that the concept of ‘Children Helping Children’
came into being.
This concept was born from one particular chance meeting with a family
whose eight-year-old son, Hosan, was desperately in need of a tonsillectomy.
Through funds that had been provided, this operation was able to take place.
Whenever a group is taken to Egypt, a visit is always made to the family
who are always pleased to see new faces. The story of Hosan can be read in the
book ‘Children of the Nile’
