Saturday 11/11/00

I just woke up on the floor of the computer room/library. Trevor has been setting up a system for me all night. I slept for not quite three hours and the dreams I had were very strange. Now I'm hungry like the wolf.

Trevor and I went to Waffle House and discussed nanotechnolgy, which is really really creepy. Apparently, you can make a fog of microscopic robots that eats flesh. Geez. I just wanted a LINUX box.

So but like after Trevor and I got back from Waffle House we discussed how the men in Titus seem gay, and Trevor astutely compared them to the characters in S.E. Hinton. S.E. Hinton books, as you may remember from high school, are touted by English teachers who are inevitably female, and the characterization is lauded as superb. But I'm telling you that men do not look at other men and think things like "I'm prettier than him." Anyway, so Trevor and I discuss the evident gayness of the males who are not Anthony Hopkins in Titus and end up talking about Hannibal and The Silence of the Lambs.

Then I went upstairs and was going to take a nap, but I couldn't. Great.

Then Haylee and Jeff called and said that they were coming into town, so I was obliged to clean my room.

Then Haylee and Jeff showed up and we talked about the election. After this week is over, I'm going to try very hard to have fewer words strung together in a political manner in my journal. This election is great because it compels pepole to exhibit their stupidty, which they eagerly do, and everybody can look at the multifaceted dimension of everyone's stupidity. But other than that, I don't know of anyone who has the specialized legal knowledge necessary to solve the Florida election problem. Anyway, I hope it goes on for months.

I belive in America. America has made my fortune.
