ROSE AFTER TITANIC
Chapter Fifteen
Five Months Later
Rose made a fully recovery and
gave birth to twin girls, Sara and Morgan.
"They are beautiful,
Rose," Jack said as he walked into the bedroom.
"I know. I thought I lost
them twice."
"Can I come in?" Cal asked.
"Sure," Rose replied.
"Jack and Rose, I have
decided to adopt."
"That is great, Cal,"
Rose replied.
"It sure is," Jack
agreed.
"Well, I’d better get
going."
"So soon?" Rose asked.
"You just got here."
"Yes. I just wanted to see
the babies and to give you this," he said, handing her a package wrapped
in old newspaper.
Rose carefully unwrapped the
package. "Thank you, Cal," she replied.
"You are welcome."
Rose carefully set the vase on
the table beside her.
"You know what would go good
in that vase?" Jack asked as he stood up.
"What?"
"Fresh flowers."
"You are right."
"I think I am going to pick
some to put in that vase."
"Okay," Rose replied,
closing her eyes.
"Is there anything I can get
you?"
No answer.
"Rose?"
Still no answer.
At first, Jack got worried, but
quickly realized that she had fallen asleep. He kissed her forehead before
heading outside to the garden.

"I demand that you find Cal
and Rose!" Nathan screamed into the phone.
"I will try," the voice
on the other end replied weakly.
"No, you will, or I will
make sure you spend the rest of your life in prison! Is that clear?"
"Yes."
"Good," Nathan replied,
a lot more softly. "Be here at noon tomorrow." Nathan hung up the
phone and gave an evil grin to both Sam and Ruth, who were standing there.
"This time, your daughter will marry my son, Cal."
"Last time, he and Rose both
escaped," Ruth replied.
"Yes, but this time they
won't. I will make sure of it."
