ALL’S WELL AS ENDS WELL
Chapter One

The school bell rang. I walked out with my best friend, Katy.

"So...uh…what do you want to watch tonight?" I asked.

"I was thinking…Titanic?"

"Okay." We sat down on a bench, waiting for the bus to come. "So...have you seen Titanic before?"

"Of course! It’s the best!" she answered. "Have you?"

"No."

"Wow. That is a real shame. A real shame," she said, shaking her head. I rolled my eyes.

"What’s it about?" I asked.

"It’s about a tragic love story. Hello? If it’s about the Titanic, it’s sad, right?" she asked.

"Right..."

"You’re so clueless."

"...and I’m proud of it!"

"Okay...good for you."

The bus came and we hopped on, and, of course, we went to the back.

"I’ve oftentimes wished I could go into the movie and make a few changes."

"Why?"

"It’s tragic! That usually means death, clueless," she said.

After the Movie

I was laughing so hard I felt like I’d die.

"How can you be laughing at a time like this?" Katy sobbed.

"I’m sorry. Is it a problem that I laugh when I’m sad?"

"Yes!" she bawled. "Your...your...laughter is...so pathetic! Shut up!"

"Oh...fine...so, I see why you want to go in and change parts," I said. "I know I want to now."

"I wish we could go into the movie and change some things," Katy wished.

"Ditto." I rolled over and went to sleep.

Morning

I rolled over and felt around for my pillow. Instead, I felt wood and smelled fresh paint. I heard the clicking of heels. I groaned as I got up. I cracked my eyes open only to see, in big, bold letters, Titanic.

"Holy macaroons!" I screamed, waking up Katy.

"What is it?" she looked up and saw the word that I saw. "Oh, my gosh! Oh, my gosh!" she repeated.

"Calm down!" I said. "We’re in public."

"So, where do you think Rose and Jack are?"

"I don’t know. We probably shouldn’t interfere until after Jack rescues Rose from her suicide attempt," I said.

"Oh, fine. Can we just find Rose? Please!" she said pleadingly.

"Fine. We have to wait for her to board."

"Why?"

"Because people are still boarding," I said. "Come on. Let’s look for her." We ran to the railing in time to get a glimpse of red hair covered by a purple hat. "Come on. Let’s go to the upper class deck."

"But what class are we?" she asked.

"I don’t know! Just come on!"
